We have just returned from an awesome week on the Disney Fantasy! Over the next few days I’m going to recap the trip here.
Saturday – Day One
Before we left on the trip, I was very fortunate to be able to get in a longish 10 mile run with my running group. The group met at 4am. Yep, you read the correctly. The estimated high for the day was well over 100 with about a million percent humidity. Since most of the group had 15-20 on their schedule a 4am start time was called for. Once I heard about the early start, I decided that even though our flight to Orlando left at 8:30, I could get in a few miles.
As you can see in the photo below, we actually had a large turn out for that early hour.
After my 10 miles were behind me, it was time to head out to the airport. While we have 5 kids, this trip was a last minute plan and three of our five were at grandparents houses. As such, we only took two. That was a mini- vacation in and of itself!
This photo was taken at the airport about to leave for Orlando! Next stop- Disney Fantasy!!!
Here was our first glimpse of the ship!
Mickey was welcoming passengers on board!
Tomorrow, I’ll be posting about our first few days on the ship!
Have you ever gotten up super early – either to beat the heat or to get one last run in before vacation?
